Betty Lamarr (Nelson) Quillen

Betty Lamarr Quillen, 81 of Cromona, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2023, at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center. Betty was the daughter of the late Denver and Lexie Bailey Nelson. She was the widow of Clyde Quillen. Betty was a member of the Fleming Baptist Church. Surviving is 1 son: Larry (Stacey) Quillen; 2 daughters: Karen (Quillen) Hall of Cromona and Donna Leigh Quillen of Dry Fork; 2 grandchildren: Brooke Lamarr (Chris) Whitaker and Emma Leigh Quillen; 2 great grandchildren: Christopher Andrew Whitaker and Isaiah Matthew Whitaker along with a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Betty was preceded in death by 5 brothers: Sonny, Ronald, Larry, Dinky, and Jerry; 3 sisters: Ruby, Joyce, and Dee; son-in-law: Tim Hall. Funeral 1:00 O'clock P.M. Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at the Fleming Baptist Church with Mark Wagoner and Brent Thompson officiating, music by Frank Holbrook, and Emma Quillen reading a Eulogy. Visitation 6:00 P.M. - 10:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine, Kentucky.
