Billy Joe Smith, 74 of Elk Creek, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at the James H. Quillen VA Center in Johnson City, Tennessee. Joe was the son of the late Herman and Thelma Craft Smith. Surviving is his wife: Shannon Dixon Smith; 3 sons: Joseph "Beau" (Michelle) Smith of Lexington, Zachary (Robin) Smith of Doty Creek, and Andrew (Angel) Smith of Blackey; 1 daughter: Sara (James) Eldridge of Elk Creek; 1 brother: Ray Smith of Carcassonne; 10 grandchildren: Chloe, Elizabeth, Ellie, Sophie, Clayton, Caleb, Lela, Emma, Arwyn, and Josiah; 1 great grandchild: August. Private Memorial Service to be held at a later date.
