Billy Harold Whitaker

Billy Harold Whitaker, 88 of Dry Fork, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky. Billy was the son of the late Astor and Susan Ellene Cornett Whitaker. Surviving is his wife: Ethel Maewood Ison Whitaker; 3 children: Mark (Kendra) Whitaker of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, Lisa (Joe Fulks) Braswell of Little Cowan and Lana (J.D.) Stacy of Emmalena; 2 brothers: Charles Whitaker of Indiana and Bob Whitaker of Somerset; 3 sisters: Joyce Burton of Indiana, Linda Whitaker of Somerset and Betty Combs of Dry Fork; 5 grandchildren: Emily Whitaker of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, Katie (McKenzie) Braswell-Miller of Viper, Seth Whitaker of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, Logan Stacy of Emmalena and Hayden Stacy of Emmalena; special great nephew: Austin Eversole. Funeral: 12:00 O'clock Noon Saturday, March 22, 2025 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Chester Johnson, Kerry Ratliff, Larry Puckett and Bob Whitaker officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Friday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky.
