Bobby Jean Adams passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026 at Letcher Manor after a long illness. She was 94 years old at the time of her passing. Bobby was the daughter of the late Leonard and Hattie Craft Morgan.
In addition to her parents Bobby was preceded in death by her husband, George Arthur Adams her two daughters, Kimberly Combs and Kyra Blair and one son-in-law, Ralph Combs.
She is survived by one son, George Allen Adams and his wife, Emma, and another son-in-law, Enos Blair; four grandchildren, Chris Adams, Morgan (Daphne) Combs, Kodi Jones and Levi (Christine) Blair, four great grandchildren: Kenzie Hall, Kynna Hall, Mason Combs and Ethan Brown; one great grandchild: Stella Blair.
Bobby was an elementary school teacher in the Letcher County School System for 37 years. Her expertise was math. In her last days she was counting continuously. We wondered if that was related to her years of teaching about numbers. She cared about her students very much. She talked about them a lot during her life. She was also a member of Little Colly Baptist Church and a member of the Eastern Star.
Funeral: 11:00 O'clock A.M. Monday, March 30, 2026 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Buford Combs officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Sunday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow in the Green Acres Mausoleum at Ermine, Kentucky.
