Bonnie Dixon Ables, age 82 of Fleming, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2024, at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Ky. Bonnie was the daughter of the late Hiram and Eva Eldridge Dixon. Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband: Lee Vernon Ables, a son: Walter Dean Ables and a grandson: Michael Lee Franklin; one brother: Shelby Dixon; two sisters: Lonnie Gibson and Patsy Hamilton. Bonnie is survived by her children: Melissa (Edwin) Franklin of Millstone, Ky, Karen (Mike) Hixon of Ten Mile, Tn, Kathy (Tim) Butler of Bardstown, and Darrell (Jeannie) Bentley of Payne Gap, Ky. Special granddaughter: Alyssa Franklin of Millstone, Ky. Also surviving are sisters: Freda Trent of Hallie, Ky and Lania (Carl) Trent of Cornettsville, Ky.; two brothers: Dan (Jackie) Dixon of Hallie, Ky and Cyd Dixon of Hallie, Ky. Bonnie was a member of the Thornton Old Regular Baptist Church. She cherished her family and loved spending time with them. She enjoyed being outside among her flowers and reading her Bible. Bonnie's legacy of love will be remembered in the lives she touched, the kindness she showed, and the love she gave.

Bonnie leaves behind a host of relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral: 1:00 O'clock P.M. Monday, November 4, 2024 at the Thornton Old Regular Baptist Church with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Sunday, November 3, 2024 at the Thornton Old Regular Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Potter Cemetery at Kona, Kentucky.
