Bonnie Banks, 88 of Ice, passed away Monday, January 19, 2026 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center. Bonnie was the daughter of the late Willie and Myrtle Ison. She was the widow of Douglas W. Banks. Surviving is 1 son: Doug Banks of Jeremiah; 6 daughters: Donna (Joseph) Morris of Mayking, Debbie (Bill) Sparks of Clarksville, Tennessee, Diana Jordan of Ice, Darla (Astor) Halcomb of Ice, Doris Banks of Ice and Denise (Rocky) Yonts of Jeremiah; 2 brothers: Charlie Ison of Dillsboro, Indiana and Floyd Ison of Morris Hill, Indiana; 1 sister: Lucy Ison of Kingdom Come; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren on the way. Bonnie was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Astor Ison and Irvin Ison; 3 sisters: Hazel Watts, Maxie Bedwell and Elma Caudill. Funeral: 1:00 O'clock P.M. Thursday, January 22, 2026 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Jones, Cullen Caudill and Eli Smith officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Wesley Banks Cemetery at Ice, Kentucky.
