Bonnie Mae Ingram, 94, a beloved figure of Linefork, KY, peacefully passed away on August 20th, 2024 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, KY, after a life richly lived.
Bonnie’s wealth of knowledge about Appalachian heritage and her community is stored in the National Archives. She was an avid contributor to the Mountain Eagle. Bonnie loved her community and was instrumental in opening the Kingdom Come Community Center in hopes to bring a space for local fellowship, music and Appalachian culture to the Linefork area. Bonnie was a homemaker who kept a warm loving home.
Bonnie was the daughter of the late Victor and Mary Campbell Cornett. She was the widow of Claude Ingram. She is proceeded in death by two sons: Roger Ingram and Donald Ingram; one daughter-in-law: Louann Galloway; two brothers: Jack Dempsy Cornett and Emory Cornett and her great grandchild: Logan David Garces. Surviving is three sons: David (Denise) Ingram of Cumberland, KY, Daniel and Randy Ingram both of Linefork, KY; one brother: Arlie Cornett; two sisters: Georgia Brown and Judith Disney; five grandchildren: Dustin, Lauren, Rachel, Michael and Chris; six great grand children: Makenzie, Miranda, Grant, Jack, Audrey, Abel and Zayden; four great great grandchildren along with a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Visitation will be held at the Letcher Funeral Home on Saturday, August 24th, 2024 from 6pm to 10pm. Funeral will be held on Sunday at the Letcher Funeral Home on Sunday, August 25th, 2024 at 1pm with Rev. Glenn Cornett officiating. Burial will follow in the Ingram Cemetery in Linefork, KY.
