Britt Collier

Britt Collier Jr of McRoberts was born on February 6, 1946 in Neon, Ky passed from this life on April 30, 2020 at his residence in McRoberts with a host of loved ones around him. Britt was the son of the late Britt and Georgia Collier. He was preceded in death by one sister Atha Bear and 6 brothers Vernice, Vernon, Elmer, Ike, Mack and Luther. Britt married Gladys Parker Collier on March 21, 1966 having been married for over 54 years. Britt is survived by his wife Gladys of McRoberts; 2 brothers: Lon C Collier of McRoberts and Jack Collier of Neon; 2 sisters: Margaret (Michael) Sturgill of Hemphill and Ravenna Simmons of TN; 6 children: Vernon (Tammi) Collier of Mayking, Marla Adams of Whitesburg, Randy Collier of Mayking, Jim (Carol) Collier of Limestone, TN, Bridgette (Charles) Burke of McRoberts and Angie (David) Hardin of McRoberts; 14 grandchildren: Ashley Collier, Robert (Sarah) Collier, Ethan Collier, Kenzie Collier, Kameron Collier, Zachary Hall, Dakota Collier, Kelsey ( Shawn) Burke, Larry Byrd, Michaela Hardin, Trevor Hardin, Lance (Kayla) Burke, Jimmy Ray (Sarah) Burke, and Cassidy Ison; 11 great grandchildren: Mishaya Collier, Peyton Collier, Skyler Collier, Alexis Collier, Marley Burke, Carson Burke, J T Turner, Josh Winsky, Payson Winsky, Kane Burke, and Tony Burke. Britt was of the Baptist faith and attended the Fleming Baptist Church. In the early years Britt worked at Crafts Department Store in Neon and drove a school bus later in life. Britt worked as a Coal Miner for Scotia Coal Company. Private Service.
