Carlo Cornett

Carlo Cornett, 61 of Blackey, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky. Carlo was the son of the late Woodrow and Marie Akemon Cornett. He was the widower of Connie Hatton Cornett. Surviving is 1 son: Justin Cornett (Jacqueline); 3 brothers: Kenneth Cornett, Martin D. Cornett and Timmy Allen Callahan; 1 sister: Lynette Cornett; 1 sister-in-law: Donna Blair; 3 grandchildren: Gracee Lynn Cornett, Kylee Brooke Cornett and Clayton Conlee Cornett along with a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Carlo was preceded in death by 1 brother: Tony Lynn Callahan; 1 sister: Linda C. Collie. Funeral: 1:00 O'clock P.M. Friday, September 8, 2023, at the Blackey Missionary Baptist Church with Bruce Gilley, Robert Holcomb and Wallace Bolling officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. - 10:00 P.M. Thursday at the Blackey Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Pearl Dixon Cemetery at Blackey, Kentucky.
