Curtis Delano King, son of the late Jake C. King and Clementine Partin King, passed from this life on Wednesday, March 11, 2020. Curt was a lifelong resident of Letcher County, Kentucky. He was born at Millstone, on October 25, 1937, making his earthly sojourn a total of 82 years, 4 months, and 18 days, at the time of his passing. Curt resided at Isom, Kentucky, at the time of his death.Curt was a skilled automotive mechanic and autobody expert. His many talents are known far and wide throughout the mountain region. For over 20 years, Curt shared his unique skills with students at the Letcher County Area Vocational School as an instructor and teacher in both auto mechanics and autobody repair and restoration.Curt was a believer in Christ, having been raised in the Methodist Church from a very young age.Besides his parents, Curt was preceded in death by his wife, Sue, and a son, Joe Curtis King; sister, Lola Mae King Cohill; and brothers, Jake King, Jr., and William Franklin “Bill” King Curt is survived by his sons, Patrick Wayne King (Annette), of Cromona; Thomas Lynn King (Debbie), of Cromona; and daughter Sherry King Walker (Mark), of Isom; a brother John W. King of Cromona, and a sister, Esther Wright, of McRoberts. Also surviving are grandchildren, Justin King (Holly), Falon King Bentley (Josh), Joe King (Amelia), and Nikki King; great-grandchildren, Willow Faith King, Harper and Jackson Bentley; Addi and Mallory King; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Funeral 1:00 P.M. Sunday, March 15, 2020 at the Neon First Church Of Christ with Rick King Officiating. Visitation 6:00 P.M. Friday, March 13, 2020 at the Neon First Church of Christ. Burial will follow at the Guy Holbrook Cemetery at Neon.
