Dan Mitchell Lucas, 75 of Thornton, passed away Friday, January 8, 2021 at the University of Cincinnati Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dan was the son of the late Denver and Maewood Lucas. Surviving is his wife: Betty Banks Lucas; 3 children: Mitchell (Kim) Lucas of Somerset, Anthony (Debra) Lucas of Kona, and Kevin (Gina) Lucas of Thornton; 3 sisters: Patty Bentley, Geneva Dollarhide, and Rosa Bates; grandchildren: Hannah Lucas, Tanesha Cornett, Tyler Lucas, Emily Long, Rachel Lucas, Kealan Lucas, Hayden Lucas, and Kayden Lucas; great grandchildren: Boston Cornett, Landon Lucas, and Bodie Cornett. Dan was preceded in death by siblings: Bobby Lois Tyree, Linda Bentley, Ligemae Lucas, Elizabeth Anderson, Louisa Sexton, Wilma Collins, Denver (Duke) Lucas, Penny Adams, Jenny Lucas, and Reta Ballou; 1 grandson: Jacob Lucas. Funeral: 12:00 O'clock Noon, Monday, January 11, 2021 at the Millstone Missionary Baptist Church with Bill Craft officiating. Visitation: 5:00 P.M. Sunday at the Millstone Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Thornton Cemetery at Thornton, Kentucky.
