Daniel Isaac Obituary

Daniel Lloyd Isaac, 82, of Deane, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at UK Hospital on January 20, 2026, surrounded by family. A lifelong resident of Deane, Daniel was born on August 7, 1943, to Nathan and Hazel (Hall) Isaac. He grew up with a deep love for his hometown and its people, often recalling the “old days,” local stories, and the history of the places that shaped his life.

A hardworking and entrepreneurial man, Daniel founded Isaac Trucking in 1966 and operated it until 1985. He also established Isaac Lumber & Supply in 1979, a business he proudly ran for more than four decades.

Daniel had a gift for conversation, a quick sense of humor, and a generous heart. He found joy in simple pleasures: mowing his well-kept lawn, tinkering and fixing things, and caring for his beloved miniature ponies. He loved watching classic TV shows, especially *Gunsmoke* and *The Andy Griffith Show.*

Above all, Daniel was a proud father and grandfather, finding immense joy in the accomplishments of his two daughters and three grandchildren. He was a devoted member of the Bevinsville First Baptist Church.

Daniel is survived by his two daughters and two sons-in-law, Melisa Gano (Joel) of Louisville, KY and Lea Shoaf (Michael) of Pickens, SC; his brother, James Isaac and sister, Shelby Hall, both of Deane, KY. His three grandchildren, Alexa, Wyatt, and Ean Hall of Pickens, SC. His nieces and nephews, Tewanna Hall, Rodney Hall, Derrick Isaac, and Rebecca Kincer. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Bonnie Kincer, his sister-in-law, Dewanna Isaac, his brothers-in-law, Vernon Hall and Richard Kincer, and nephews, Jamie Isaac and Greg Kincer.
