Darneshia Akemon

Darneshia Mae Akemon, born December 23rd 1975 to Glenda Turner & Herman Polly passed away Monday, November 11th at Hazard ARH. She was married to Mike Akemon and had one daughter, Cortney Akemon and one son, Clayton Akemon.

She worked as a registered nurse for several years, showing compassion and love for all of her patients and co-workers. When her health began to decline, she left the field of work that she so admired.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mae & Jim Polly, Bertha Turner & Walter Turner, step-father James Alfred Tolliver & her uncle James Polly.

She is survived by her mother, Glenda Sue Tolliver, her father Herman Polly, brothers Mikey Tolliver and Brian Polly, her sisters Janice Lynn and Rachel Polly, her daughter Cortney Akemon, her son Clayton Akemon, two beautiful grandsons Mason & Isaiah Cole along with a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 13th & Thursday, November 14th at Defeated Creek Old Regular Baptist Church, at 5:00 for family and 6:00pm for public. Funeral Service will be held Friday, November 15th at 11:00am. Burial will be at Cornett’s Cemetery in Linefork, KY.
