David Carroll Boggs Jr.

David Carroll Boggs, Jr., 79 of Bo Fork of Kingdom Come, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2025, at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center.

David was the son of the late David Carroll Sr. and Oshie Marie Baker Boggs.

He was the widower of Priscilla “Patty” Cornett Boggs.

Surviving is 5 children: Oneil and Deb Boggs of Bo Fork of Kingdom Come, Daniel and Mona Boggs of Cowan, Angie and Jeff Shepherd of Linefork, Oshie and Ronnie Adams of Whitesburg and Donna and Tracey Deaton of Waynesburg, Pennsylvania; 2 brothers: Gary Wayne Boggs and Randy Joe Boggs and Vesta all of Cowan; 2 sisters: Faye Martin and Sonny of Whitesburg and Dana Sturgill and Doug of London; grandchildren: Mark, Julia, Seth (Fess), JT, Kirsti, Richard, Kayla and Alayna; great grandchildren: Jayda, Jack, Preston, Konner, Daveigha, Jeremiah, Ashlynn, Hunter and Jackson; 1 special friend: Tina Chadwell along with a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

David was preceded in death by 1 grandson: David Peewee Boggs; 4 brothers: Elvy Boggs, Johnny H. Boggs, Lester Boggs, Rodney Boggs; 4 sisters: Lucy Boggs, Sandra Roark, Linda Pendleton and Brenda Ratliff.

Funeral: 11:00 O'clock A.M. Sunday, October 5, 2025 at the Cowan Chapel Church with Burdell Gilley and others officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Friday and All Day Saturday at the Cowan Chapel Church. Burial will follow in the Boggs Family Cemetery at Bo Fork of Kingdom Come, Kentucky.
