David Charles Banks

David Charles Banks of Little Cowan was born July 19, 1948 and passed away October 14, 2024 at his residence. David was the son of the late Bert H. and Catherine Wyatt Banks. Surviving is his wife of 57 years: Millie Day Banks; 1 daughter: Meredith (Martie) Bradford and husband Adam; 1 son: James (Jamie) Banks and wife Julie; 3 grandsons: Brett Bradford, Spencer Banks and Ross Banks; 3 granddaughters: Hannah Tackett and Tucker, Madison Bradford and Brayden and Myra Banks;1 great granddaughter: Reese Garvin; brother-in-law: Ercel Sturgill. David was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Vietnam. He worked as an underground Coal Miner for 31 years as an electrician and repairman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. David was preceded in death by 1 grandson: Evan Jacob Banks; 1 brother: Jimmy Banks; 2 sisters: Sylvia Sturgill and Jewel Day; mother-in-law: Panny Day; father-in-law: Butler Day; brothers-in-law: Bobby R. Day, James B. Day and Rickey W. Day; nephew: Tim Sturgill and wife Barbara; niece: Terri Fischrogt. No Services will be held.
