David Chuck Halcomb

David Chuck Halcomb, 72 of Letcher, passed away Friday, December 13, 2024, at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center. Chuck was the son of the late Varge Halcomb and Lela Back Halcomb. He is survived by his wife Jenny Halcomb; 1 daughter: Brandy (Edgar) Johnson; 2 Brothers: William Bryan Halcomb (Deborah) and Varge Halcomb Jr. (Peggy); 2 sisters: Brenda Caudill (Loye) and Evon Gibson (Mike); 2 Grandchildren: Shana Shepherd and Caden Shepherd; Lifelong friends: Artie Ann Bates, Jan Browning, Deb Fields, Berma Matthews, and Dan Fields. Chuck was preceded in death by 3 sisters: Margaret Ann Halcomb, Opal Marie Caudill, and Martha Elaine Maggard; 1 Brother: James Caudill; Mamaw: Imogene Caudill. Chuck also leaves behind a host of family and friends to mourn his passing. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 16, 2024, at the Mt. Olivet Old Regular Baptist Church at 12:00 O'clock Noon with Danny Dixon, Toby Breeding, Elwood Cornett, James Caudill, and others officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, December 15, 2024, at 6:00 O'clock P.M. at the Mt. Olivet Old Regular Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Halcomb Cemetery at Brown Settlement.
