Lois Jean Smith, 75, of Blackey passed away Thursday, September 03, 2020 at her residence. Lois is the daughter of the late Chester and Ima Jean Qualls Caudill. She is the widow of Shelp Smith. Surviving are 3 sons: Cheddy (Melanie) Smith of Blackey; Jody (Lana) Smith of Cumberland; Marty (Juanita) Smith of Cowan; 1 brother: Lowell (Sandy) Caudill of Letcher; 3 Sisters: Francis (Johnny) Smith of Michigan; Cindy (James) Williams of Blackey; Jenny (Chuck) Halcomb of Letcher; 8 Grandchildren: Willy Jo, Chase, Austin, Kyle, Little Marty, Emily, Devin, Kevin; 1 Great Grandchild: Kaylee; Special Aunt: Rachel Caudill. Along with a host of Loving Cousins, Neices and Nephews to mourn her passing. Funeral 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 5, 2020 at the Mt Olivet Church at Blackey with Bruce Gilley, Jim Fields, Bill Johnson, Danny Dixon, Elwood Cornett, Ralph Jent officiating. Visitation 6-9 Friday, September 4, 2020 at the Mt Olivet Church. Burial will follow in the Jent Mountain Cemetery at Jent Mountain.
