Denny Amburgey, 66 of Roxana, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky. Denny was the son Willa Sue Fields Amburgey of Roxana and the late Ted Amburgey. He was the proud owner of Amburgey's Grocery Hardware and Furniture for over 25 years and enjoyed the outdoors (especially fishing) his classic cars and the occasional western. Surviving other than his mother is his wife: Debbie Amburgey; 2 sons: Jonathan (Vanessa) Amburgey of Salt Lake City, Utah and Stephen (Taffany) Amburgey of Georgetown; 1 daughters: Rebecca (Chad) Randall of Louisville; 1 brother: Anthony Amburgey of Roxana; 2 sisters: Debbie (Dannie) Caudill of Redfox and Vicki (Evan) Blair of Jeremiah; 6 grandchildren: Sophi, Vivienne, Everett, Kamryn, Kaisley, and Owen. Denny was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Greg Amburgey and Tim Amburgey. Funeral: 11:00 O'clock A.M. Monday, August 30, 2021 at the Premium Baptist Church with Jamie Reynolds and Elwood Cornett officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Sunday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Whitaker and Caudill Cemetery at Tolson, Kentucky.
