Doris Evelyn (Spangler) Sexton

Doris Evelyn Sexton, 81 of Sandlick, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2024 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky.

Doris was the daughter of the late Carl and Bessie Collins Spangler.

Doris married Albert Roland Sexton on April 23, 1960.

Surviving other than her husband is grandchild: Zachary Sexton (Emma); great grandchildren: Braden, Madi and Lilah; 1 sister: Wanda Niece of Campbranch; brothers-in-law: Buddy Sexton, Marvin Sexton and Frank Collins; sisters-in-law: Tishia Collins, Karen Sexton, Zelma Sexton and Barbara Sexton; daughter-in-law: Cora Sexton along with a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Doris was preceded in death by a son: Timothy Roland Sexton; 2 brothers: Billy Spangler and Jimmy Darrell Spangler; 1 sister: Sue Sexton; brothers-in-law: Hennie Sexton, Harold Niece, Bruce Sexton, Jackie Sexton, Jack Benton, Billy Wayne Adams, James Collins and Bennett Sexton; sisters-in-law: Violet Benton, Barbara Adams, Josie Collins, Jeanette Sexton, Betty Sexton, Vivian Spangler and Ernestine Spangler.

Funeral: 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Craft officiating. Visitation: 5:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Ed Sexton Cemetery at Sandlick, Kentucky.
