Earl "Bud" Blair, 82 of Letcher, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2019 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky. Bud was the son of the late Brady and Stella Elam Blair. Surviving is his wife: Carmen Gail Hampton Blair; 2 sisters: Dorothy "Gid" Ison of Blackey and Ruth Price of Blackey; his dogs: Claire and Joey; his cats: Teddy and Mr. Nubbs. Bud was preceded in death by 1 brother: Bernard Blair; 4 sisters: Barbara Faye Polk, Josephine Blair, Bernice Caudill, and Jeri Lynn Blair. Bud loved his childhood home and wrote a book about his childhood and growing up on Crases Branch. Funeral: 2:00 O'clock P.M. Thursday, August 22, 2019 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Elwood Cornett and others officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Blair Family Cemetery at Letcher, Kentucky.
