Ellis O. Maggard, 59 of Eolia, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky. Ellis was the son of the late Ellis O. and June Maggard. Surviving is his wife: Lisa Maggard; 1 sister: Olivia Sprouse (Jim McDermott) of Georgetown; brothers-in-law: Ronnie (Joyce) Strunk, Rick (Anita) Middleton and Barry (Liz Bolling) Sprouse; sister-in-law: Kathy (Shelby) Wilson; nieces: Emily (Chris) Sprouse Weatherwex and Tabitha Middleton; nephews: John (Raeanna) Bedwell and Corde (Lisa) Sprouse; mother-in-law: Betty Middleton; special caregiver: Kimberly Coots. Ellis was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: J.D. and Vera Maggard; paternal grandparents: L.P. and Susan Maggard; 1 brother: Ted Banks; 1 sister: Denise (J.D.) Bedwell; niece: Jai Devin Bedwell; special friend: Jamie Creech. Funeral: 7:00 O'clock P.M. Saturday, January 18, 2025 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Eddie Creech and Caleb Howard officiating. Visitation: 5:00 P.M. Saturday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.
