Ernestine Meade Obituary

Ernestine Meade, 85, of Kingscreek passed away on Friday, August 16, 2019, at her residence. She was the daughter of the late John D and Rachel Fields Jones. She is survived by her husband Jack Meade; 1 Daughter: Darlene Meade Huff and her husband Gary of Kingsport, Tennessee; 2 Brothers: Ronnie Jones and his wife Vicki of Dryfork, KY and John D. Jones and wife Janet of Lexington, KY; 1 Sister: Pauline Shepherd and her late husband Lawrence Shepherd of Whitesburg, KY; 2 Grandchildren: Talmage Collins of Louisville, KY and Darla Collins of Kingscreek, KY; 1 Great-grandson: Benjamin Grey Banks; A very special close family friend, Santiago Ramirez of Louisville, KY and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

She was an active member of the Cowan Community Homemakers Club for many years.

Ernestine's visitation will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2019, at the Letcher Funeral Home from 5:00-10:00 p.m. Her funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at the Faith Community Church with entombment immediately following at the Green Acres Cemetery in Ermine, KY.
