Eugene Day, 93 of Cowan, passed away Monday, November 18, 2019 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky. Eugene was the son of the late Francis B. and Rachel Maggard Day. He was the widower of Irene Day. Surviving is 1 daughter: Emma Adams of Cowan; 1 son: Francis Day of Cowan; 1 sister: Louise Sturgill of Dayton, Ohio; 1 grandson: Chris Adams; 1 great granddaughter: Paige Day. Eugene was preceded in death by 5 brothers; 1 sister; 1 granddaughter: Heather Day. Funeral: 1:00 O'clock P.M. Thursday, November 21, 2019 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Dock Frazier officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Day Cemetery at Cowan, Kentucky.
