Eugene Hall

Eugene Hall, age 72, of Deane, Kentucky, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on June 6, 2026. Born on January 15, 1954, he was the son of the late Hage and Imalee Hall.

Eugene was a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished Pappaw. He was known for his kind heart, generous spirit, and willingness to help anyone in need without ever expecting anything in return. His life was a reflection of his faith, compassion, and dedication to his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 53 years, Kathy Hall, whom he would have celebrated his 53rd wedding anniversary with on June 29. He is also survived by his son, Steve Hall and wife Jaime of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; and his daughter, Gina Dotson and husband Ronnie of Deane, Kentucky.

Eugene was a proud grandfather to Tyler Hall and wife Haileigh of Lexington, Kentucky; Zach Hall and fiancée Emily Harvey of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; Mason Hall and girlfriend Fran Chapa of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; and Lainey Dotson of Deane, Kentucky.

He is also survived by his brother, Darrell Hall and wife Marsha of Topmost, Kentucky; his sisters, Doris Roberts of Jackhorn, Kentucky, and Sharon Adams of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will deeply mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Eugene was preceded in death by his sister, Arna Mae Thomas, and his brother, Claude “Doolie” Hall.

Eugene accepted Christ as his Savior on October 26, 1980. His faith remained the foundation of his life. In January 1982, he was ordained as a deacon at Hemphill Baptist Church, where he faithfully served the Lord and his church family for many years.

Though he will be greatly missed, his family finds comfort in knowing that he is rejoicing in his heavenly home. His legacy of faith, love, and kindness will live on in all who knew and loved him.
