Floyd Pinyerd

Floyd Pinyerd Jr, 82, of Jeremiah passed away Friday, June 4, 2021 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center. Floyd was born in Mechanicsburg, Ohio to the late Raymond Pinyerd and the late Gertrude Riffle on May 15, 1939. Floyd married the love of his life, Mary Sue Pinyerd on December 26, 1959. They Celebrated 61 years of marriage. Surviving are Three Sisters: Linda Stithem of Marysville Ohio, Shirley Hackley of Marysville Ohio, and Kathy Trimble of Waco Texas. Two Children: Timothy (Ying) Pinyerd of Victoria Australia, and Sarah (Andy) Creighton of Sardinia Ohio. Three Grandchildren: Justine Pinyerd, Logan Creighton, and Cierra Creighton. Floyd was preceded in death by Two Brothers: Charles Pinyerd and David Pinyerd. One Son: Jack Pinyerd. Floyd started his career working for Scotts Chemical Company and later worked for the Letcher County Road Department, Golden Oak Coal Company, and Big Elk Coal Company as a heavy equipment operator. When he retired he enjoyed working on tillers, lawn mowers, and small equipment motors. He enjoyed working on his 57 Chevy Car. He will be missed by many friends and former co-workers. Funeral 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at the Letcher Independent Baptist Church with Bill Jones officiating. Visitation 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at the Letcher Independent Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Johnson Cemetery at Littcarr.
