Frances Elaine (Phillips) Ritchie

Frances Elaine Phillips Ritchie, age 64, of Clinton, TN passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN surrounded by her family. Born on May 22, 1958, in Whitesburg, KY, Frances was the youngest child of the late Woodrow Wilson and Sarah Taylor Phillips.

She worked as a CNA in Anderson County Tennessee for many years. She had a huge loving, heart and loved caring for people. She always treated the residents she cared for as if they were her family. Frances had a deep love for God and shared that love wherever she went in life. She was never ashamed to praise the Lord and tell people how good He had been to her. She wanted everyone to love the Lord as much as she did. She was a member of Temple of Christ Baptist Church in Clinton, TN. While living in Kentucky, she attended United Faith Ministries in Thornton along with her husband.

She leaves behind her loving husband of 38 years, Raymond; her beloved babies: daughter Lora Elaine (Woody) Hill, grandson Rhett Alan Hill, great granddaughter Christina Jene Hill; two brothers Carlos (Karen) Phillips of Neon, KY and Woodrow “JR” (Gaye) Phillips of Whitaker, KY; one sister Anna Mae (Orin) Beitel of Galva, IL and her beloved fur baby and companion of 13 years Bella, along with an abundance of nieces and nephews.

Frances was proceeded in death by her parents; four sisters: Matilda “Tillie” Jaeger, Janice Treadway, Sharlene Sexton and Ilene Caudill; and three brothers: James Calvin “JC” Phillips, Richard Phillips and Tommy Phillips.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 3, 2023, at United Faith Ministries at 101 Chip Drive in Thornton, KY from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at United Faith Ministries with David Cody Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at the Phillips Family Cemetery in Whitaker, KY.
