Gary Morris

Gary Morris of Whitesburg passed away Monday, September 12, 2022 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, Ky. He was born January 28, 1956 being 66 years of age at the time of his passing. Gary was the son of the late Claude and Ella Cook Morris. He is survived by 2 daughters: Amanda Mannaa of Johnson City, TN and Wyndee Morris of Lawrenceville, GA; son: Matthew Morris of Whitesburg; 6 grandkids: Haeli Salters, Sheehan Morris, Zahra Mannaa, Noah Mannaa, Kellan Morris, and Cheyenne Guerrero; 1 great grandchild: Ivyona Lewis; former wife: Denita Caudill; 3 brothers: Greg Morris of Jenkins; Bobby Morris of Sandlick, and Jimmy Morris of Whitesburg; 2 sisters: Glenda Stallard of Jenkins and Della Yonts of Whitesburg along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives to mourn his passing. Gary was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers: David Lee Morris and Clyde Morris. Funeral: 1:00 PM Monday, September 19, 2022 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Conard Profitt officiating. Visitation: 4:00-10:00 PM Sunday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Adams Cemetery at Little Colley.
