George Edward Bevins, 74 of Jenkins, passed away Monday, May 1, 2023, at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center. George was the son of the late George Washington and Carrie Jane Elswick Bevins. He was the widower of Patsy Faye Bevins. Surviving is 2 daughters: Melanie (Shad) Baker and Emily (Jimmy Wright) Bevins both of Jenkins; 1 brother: Robert Bevins of North Carolina; 4 grandchildren: Alyssa Baker, Alexis Mullins, Landon Mullins, and Kennedy Wright along with a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Gorge was preceded in death by 1 son: George Bevins. Funeral 11:00 O'clock A.M. Friday, May 5, 2023, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation 6:00 P.M. - 10:00 P.M. Thursday, May 4, 2023, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Haven of Rest Cemetery at Mayking, Kentucky.
