Gillis Reedy

Gillis Reedy passed away October 23, 2020 at his residence in Isom, Kentucky. Gillis was the last surviving child of the late Emery Allen and Arminda Combs Reedy.

Gillis was born October 26, 1931 being 88 years, 11 months and 27 days of age at the time of his passing.

Gillis was Baptized at the Blair Branch Church in March of 1986, he was ordained as a Deacon in September of 1990. Gillis truly loved the Blair Branch Old Regular Baptist Church.

Gillis was preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Marie Madden Reedy. He was also preceded in death by  3 brothers: H.B. Reedy Sr., Bobby Reedy and Bennett Kelly; 4 sisters: Dana Noe, Bertha Couch, Golda Calhoun and Rose Kirkland.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky or the Blair Branch Old Regular Baptist Church. 

Visitation: 6:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. Saturday, October 24th and Funeral Services Sunday, October 25th at 1:00 P.M. at the Blair Branch Old Regular Baptist Church with Don Pratt, Robert Holcomb, and H.B. Reedy Jr. officiating.

Burial will follow at the Isom Cemetery at Isom, Kentucky.
