Herbert Eldridge, 85, of Winchester, Kentucky, passed away on April 24, 2026, in Lexington, Kentucky. He was the son of Noah and Lizzie Eldridge. Left to mourn his passing is his wife, Clarice Eldridge, his brothers, Harlin Eldridge and wife Betty Ann of Somerset, Kentucky and Edgar Eldridge and wife Brenda of Denton, Texas. Also he had numerous nephews and nieces all of whom he loved dearly. He also leaves behind his great niece, Melisa Justice whom he loved like a daughter. He will be missed by a host of other family and friends. Preceding him in death besides his parents is his first wife, Bonnie Faye Eldridge, 2 brothers, Estill Eldridge and Charles Eldridge, 2 sisters, Martha McDaniel and Lillian Rowland. Herbert was a car enthusiast. He drove a race car for a bit. He collected classic vehicles, entered many contests, and won many trophies. He worked for and retired from the Trane Company in Lexington, Kentucky. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 O'clock A.M. on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Richard Hampton and Emory Caudill officiating. Burial will follow in the Fields Cemetery at Bull Creek, Kentucky. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. - 10:00 P.M. on Monday, April 27, 2026, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.
