Jack Trent

Jack Trent, 83 of Whitco, passed away Monday, November 29, 2021 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center. Jack was the son of the late Clyde and Mary Trent. Jack was a veteran of the United States Air Force, a Mason and a long time coal miner and coal operator. Jack was married to Lois Rogers Adams who was his caregiver. Other survivors include 3 children: Jack Scott (Shannon) Trent, Stephen (Cyndee) Trent and Jackie (Kathy) Trent all of Whitesburg; 5 daughters: Kimla Trent, Teresa Lankford, Gina (Randy) Fields, and Machelle Bates all of Whitesburg and Denise Welden of Georgia; 2 sisters: Shirley Trent of Texas and Janet Sue Trent of Indiana; 14 grandchildren: 10 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild. Jack was preceded in death by 1 daughter: Malinda Caudill; 5 sisters: Virginia Trent, Lucille Trent, Norma Trent, Helen Trent and Geneva Holbrook; 3 brothers: Gary Trent, James Trent and Larry Trent; 1 half brother: Bennett Terbial. Funeral: 1:00 O'clock P.M. Thursday, December 2, 2021 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Frank Adams, Tony Brown, and Jack Rogers officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the R.B. Caudill Cemetery at Whitco, Kentucky.
