Jackie (Shepherd) Lucas

Jacketta "Jackie" Lucas, 79 of Whitesburg, passed away Monday, November 25, 2024, at her residence. Jackie was the daughter of the late Edward and Nila Craiger Shepherd. Surviving is 2 daughters: Tammie (Joey) Cook of Dry Fork and Nina (Raymond) Dzierzek of Isom; 2 brothers: Alex (the late Yvonne) Shepherd of Richmond, Indiana and Billy (Myrtle) Shepherd of Morristown, Tennessee; 4 sisters: Nancy (Floyd) Thompson of Pound, Virginia, Angie (Greg) Maggard of Eolia, Ina Shepherd of Richmond, Indiana, and Anna Anderson of St. Petersburg, Florida; 10 grandchildren: Tereana (John) Pike, Steven Cook, Ashley (Jonathan) Timco, Tawny Dzierzek, Ryan Cook, Dustin Dzierzek, Justin Lucas, Chelsea Thompson, Lindsey Lucas, and Dixie Deskins along with a host of great grandchildren and other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Jackie was preceded in death by 1 son: Terry Lucas; 1 brother: James Shepherd; 3 sisters: Pamela (David) Banks, Janice (Bobby) Hall, and Glenda (Eddie) Collins; 1 grandchild: Zachariah Lucas. Funeral 1:00 O'clock P.M. Sunday, December 1, 2024, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Jack Howard officiating. Visitation 6:00 P.M. - 10:00 P.M. Saturday, November 30, 2024, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Lucas Cemetery at Pistol City, Kentucky.
