James Allen Cavins, 50 of Corbin, passed away Friday, April 4, 2025 at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. James was the son of the late Charlotte Cavins Ison. He was a firefighter for over 25 years and was a current member of the Oak Grove Fire Department. Surviving other than his mother is his stepfather: James Ison; wife: Kendra Childers Cavins; 5 children: Alanna Cavins (Tyler Hunt) of Somerset, Cora Cavins, Brooklyn Cavins, Colton Cavins and Conner Cavins all of Home. Memorial Service: 5:00 O'clock P.M. Thursday, May 1, 2025 (James' Birthday) at the First Baptist Church East Bernstadt.
