James Curtis Hicks, 83 of Mayking, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2020 at his residence. Curtis was the son of the late Arthur and Martha Wooten Hicks. Surviving is his wife: Lily Mae Conner Hicks; 1 daughter: Ramona Claudette (Coy) Jones of Meadow View, Virginia; 2 sisters: Thelma West of Pennsylvania and Florence Sturgill of McRoberts; 3 grandchildren: Jason Curtis Jones of Meadow View, Virginia, Tabatha (Dustin) Bentley of Joint Base Lewis McChord, Washington, and Brandon Curtis (Alyssa) Hicks of Andover, Virginia; 3 great grandchildren: Gannon Curtis Hicks, Lyla Brooke Hicks, and Nora Olivia Bentley. Curtis was preceded in death by 1 son: Tony Curtis Hicks; 6 brothers; 2 sisters. Funeral: 11:00 O'clock A.M. Monday, July 6, 2020 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Jack Howard officiating. Visitation: 9:00 A.M. Monday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Day Cemetery at Ermine, Kentucky.
