James Archie Hubbard

James Archie Hubbard, 90 of Eolia, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2026, at his residence. James was the son of the late Delbert and Edna Sturgill Hubbard. He served 10 years honorably in the U.S. Marines which included a tour in Vietnam. Surviving are his wife: Marilynn Hubbard; 3 sons and 1 daughter : James M. (Vicki) Hubbard of Pacolet, SC; Tony (Patricia) Hubbard of Johnson City, TN,  Jerry Darnell of Springfield, Ohio and Angie Boggs Sturgill of Cumberland, KY; 3 sisters: Christine Tooley of Suffolk, VA, Sandra Rust of Moyock, NC, and Gaylene Fares of Hot Springs Village, AR; 9 grandchildren: Jeremy Hubbard, Ryan Hubbard, Tabitha Hubbard, Lauren Grindstaff, Jeremy Boggs, Jessica Boggs and the late Jared Boggs , Heather Darnell Kline and Trey Darnell; 10 great grandchildren along with a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. James was preceded in death by his 1st wife: Nancy E. Hubbard; 4 brothers: Winston Hubbard, David Hubbard, Daniel Hubbard, and Richard Hubbard . Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Jimmy Hubbard officiating. Burial will follow in the Hubbard Family Cemetery at Eolia, Kentucky with Kevin Parsons, Jerry Darnell, Josh Sturgill, Jeremy Boggs, Joel Boggs, Jeremy Hubbard, Tabitha Hubbard serving as Pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.
