James Fairley Lewis Sr.

James Fairley Lewis Sr., 78 of Eolia, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Fairley was the son of the late Bruce and Ruby Maggard Lewis. He was the widower of Shirley Sturgill Lewis. Surviving is 3 children: Angie Lewis Sturgill, James Fairley (Jim) Lewis Jr. (Paula) and Brian Lewis (Cindi); brothers: Lester (Ossie), Joey (Linda), Jack (Gayle) Tom and Chester; sisters: Becky Frerichs (Steve)and Carol Rayburn (Terry); 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren. Fairley was preceded in death by his siblings: Ruth, Myrel, Cora Lee, Jean and Judy. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Sunday, June 8, 2025 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will be private.
