James Darryl Strickling

James Darryl Strickling, age 77 of Seco, passed away September 2, 2025 at home. He was born April 12, 1948 in Seco. He lived most of his life in Seco, Letcher County, Kentucky. James loved to fish and hunt all kinds of animals.  He was loved by his family and friends with all of his wonderful heart. He was preceded in death by his mother: Letha Strickling and father: Thomas Ray Strickling; 3 brothers: Dizzy, Charlie and Dewey; 7 sisters: Mary, Phyllis, Donna Sue, Mattie Jo, Anna Joyce, Billie Sue and Alice and a grandchild: Christopher Dean Sexton. He is survived by his partner in life: Marsha Adams, of 12 years. a daughter: Linda Marie Strickling, a stepson: Scotty; stepdaughter: Natalie; a son-in-law: Harold Sexton; grandchildren: Amelia, Bouncy, Booney, Garland, his granddaughter and sidekick: Kinsley and James; Josh and Lindsey; great grandchildren: Emory, Jake Sexton, Mattie Sexton and Erica and husband Chris; 3 great grandchildren: Bryson, Payton and Ashton along with a host of other relatives and good friend: Thurman Fleming and many more friends to mourn his passing. James will be cremated and buried on his property beside his brother Dizzy and his friend: Doug. Memorial Service: 1:00 O'clock P.M. Saturday, September 6, 2025 at the Seco Freewill Baptist Church.
