James Arnold Terry

James Arnold Terry known as “Pop Pop” to most, age 78 of Jenkins, Kentucky passed away peacefully at home on February 26th 2024. 

James was born on August 25th 1945, to the late Herbert and Ruby Terry, the second youngest of 8. 

He was married on January 23rd 1965, to Etta Lou Terry, his lifelong sweetheart. They were together for 54 years 

Survivors include a son, James Arnold Terry Jr. (Jimmy) and wife Carshia Terry of Jenkins, Kentucky. A daughter, Lesley Ann Terry of Mayking, Kentucky. 

9 grandchildren: Ryan Brock and wife Whitley of Clintwood, Virginia. Cory Brock and wife Kala of Mayking, Kentucky. Courtney Amburgey and husband Matthew of Dry Fork, Kentucky. Dalton Terry and wife Rebecca of Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Dillon Terry and fiancé Brittany of Williamsburg, Kentucky. Teagan Holbrook of London, Kentucky. Chase Bowling and wife Makayla of London, Kentucky. Allison Bowling of Mississippi. Elizabeth Terry and fiancé Felix of Rocky Top, Tennessee. 

16 Great Grandchildren: Parker Caudill, Carter Caudill, Lincoln Brock, Kynsley Caudill, Weston Amburgey, Miley Amburgey, Zoey Sparkman, Zayn Brock, Jacob Mullins, Austin Mullins, Amaya Terry, Memphis Bowling, Eden Bowling, Grayson Bowling, Leia Graham, Maren Terry. 

Brothers: Ray Terry of Ohio, Larry Terry of Clay City, Kentucky. 

Brother-in-law Bobby Kincer and wife Diane of Jenkins, Kentucky. 

Sister-in-laws Judy Kincer of Jenkins, Kentucky, Brenda Terry of Ohio,  Susie Childers of Millstone, Kentucky 

Along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, family and friends to mourn his passing. 

James was proceeded in death by his Mother and Father Herbert and Ruby Terry

Funeral: 1:00 O'clock P.M. Saturday, March 2, 2024, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Frank Adams officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Friday, March 1, 2024, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Haven of Rest Cemetery at Mayking, Kentucky.
