James "Butch" Wright

James Monroe "Butch" Wright, 78 of Deane, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at his residence. Butch was the son of the late John and Coleen Blair Wright. Surviving is his wife: Bonnie Wright; 2 sons: David (Wendy) Wright of Wise, Virginia and John Michael (Karma) Wright of Georgetown; 2 daughters: Elizabeth Drouault of Monroe, Georgia and Amanda Sue (Jared) Jeter of Apopka, Florida; 3 brothers: Doug (Shirley) Wright of Taylor, Michigan, Scott (Judy) Wright of Iuka and Jett Wright of Tennessee; 3 sisters: Sue (Bob) Bassett of Mt. Vernon, Pat (Dennis) Brown of Whitesburg and Terri (Bobby) Warf of Payne Gap; sister-in-law: Jeanette Martin of Deane; 1 brother-in-law: Danny Quillen of Johnson City, Tennessee; 3 grandchildren: Ariel Drouault, Alexander Michael (Andrea) Wright and Isabella Faith Wright; 3 great grandchildren and 1 on the way. He was preceded in death by 1 son-in-law Nathan Bentley and 1 grandson Devan Levi Drouault.  Funeral: 1:00 O'clock P.M. Friday, May 16, 2025 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Don Mullins officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Wednesday and Thursday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the John P. Meade Cemetery at Deane, Kentucky.
