Let Us Pause To Honor the Memory of

 Jane Caudill

Jane Caudill, age 85 of Madison, Indiana and  formerly of Letcher County, Kentucky, entered this life on November 16, 1938, in Carbon Glow, Kentucky in Letcher County. She was the loving daughter of the late Byron and Ettie Caudill Caudill. She was raised in Dotty Creek in Jeremiah, Kentucky where she attended school. She was united in marriage on November 24, 2001 at the Dixon Memorial Church in Letcher County to Van Blair. They enjoyed 10 years of marriage together until his death. She worked for many years as a nanny helping to raise Lisa Adams and Dr. Wade Baker. She also worked for Mountain Comp Clinic as a housekeeper for several years. She was an avid reader and a fan of UK basketball. She was a longtime member of the Old Regular Baptist Church in Letcher County. She moved to Madison four years ago to be near her sister and her family who lovingly cared for her.  She attended the First Baptist Church in downtown Madison.  Jane died on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at 4:00 a.m. at the Norton King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison, Indiana with her loving family at her side.

A LOVING FAMILY

Jane will be missed by her loving sisters, Imogene Caudill York of Madison, Indiana, Adeline Hampton of Whitesburg, Kentucky; her brother, Carl "Dickie" Caudill and his wife, Testa of Batesville, Indiana; her sister in laws, Margaret Ann Caudill of Jeremiah, Kentucky, Janet Caudill of Jeremiah, Kentucky, Geraldine Caudill of Jeremiah, Kentucky, and Ila Cloud; the children she was a nanny to, Lisa Adams and Dr. Wade Baker; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Byron Caudill, died November 16, 1987, her mother, Ettie Caudill Caudill, died December 25, 1992, her brothers, Burnett Caudill, died December 24, 2015,Harold Caudill, died January 24, 2013, Bert Charles Caudill, died August 30, 2018, Bruce Caudill, died March 7, 2024, Earl Caudill, died September 14, 1962, and Haskell Caudill; her sisters, Beatrice Caudill, died February 28, 1934 and Elaine Caudill, died January 12, 1979.

FUNERAL CEREMONY

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 16, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., by, Pastor Aaron Profitt at the Letcher Funeral Home, 102 Main Street in Whitesburg, Kentucky.  Interment will follow in the Hampton Cemetery in Letcher County, Kentucky.

VISITATION

Friends and family may visit Friday, August 16, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Letcher Funeral Home, 102 Main Street in Whitesburg, Kentucky.
