Jeanette Sexton, 79 of Sandlick, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2020 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Jeanette was the daughter of the late Ray and Dessie Whitaker Brashears. Surviving is her husband: Buddy Dean Sexton; 1 daughter: Cathy Dawn Sexton Sumpter and husband Dick of Sandlick; 4 brothers: Johnnie Brashears of South Carolina, Tommie Brashears of Kingscreek, Randy Whitaker of North Carolina, and Jimmy Brashears of Indiana; 3 sisters: Jo Combs of Smoot Creek, Gertrude Murphy of Morehead, and Karen Sexton of Sandlick; 1 grandson: Teddy Dean Martin; 1 great grandchild: Seth Wilder. Jeanette was preceded in death by 1 granddaughter: Mica Dawn; 1 brother: Billy Dean Brashears. Funeral for the closest of family: 1:00 O'clock P.M. Sunday, March 22, 2020 at the Sandlick Fire Department with Bill Craft officiating. Visitation for the closest of family: 6:00 P.M. Friday at the Sandlick Fire Department. Private Burial will be at the Ed Sexton Cemetery at Sandlick, Kentucky.
