Jesse Sergent

Jesse Sergent, 89 of Thornton, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at his residence. Jesse was the son of the late Luther and Pearl Holbrook Sergent. He was widower of Frances Marie Sergent. Surviving is 3 children: Shelia (John) Logan of Yorktown, Virginia, Jeff Sergent of Thornton and Tony (Annette) Sergent of Sandlick; son-in-law: David Brown of Thornton; grandchildren: Billy Ray Brown, Jason Brown, Jeffery Sergent, Seth Sergent, David Brown Jr., Katie Hamilton, Emily Sergent and Sam Sergent; great grandchildren: Skye Brown, Gavin Brown, Thayden Brown, Cooper Brown, Abby Brown, Carson Brown, Phoenix Hamilton and Piper Hamilton; 1 brother: Henry Sergent of Ohio; 2 sisters: Mary Bealer and Ritter Hall of Ohio. Jesse was preceded in death by 1 daughter: Jackie Brown; siblings: Goldie Vance, Lula Mae Profitt, Vae Niece, Verna Hurt, Julie, Ruth Vance, Lettie Jane Niece, Phillip Morris Sergent and Ruby Hall. Funeral: 11:00 O'clock A.M. Saturday, October 11, 2025 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Craft officiating. Visitation: 6:30 P.M. Friday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Sergent Family Cemetery at Thornton, Kentucky.
