Jimmy McCall, 84 of Mayking, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2020 at his residence. Jimmy was the son of the late George and Cora Wright McCall. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years: Verna Faye McCall; siblings: Rebecca, Russell William "Bud" Wanda, Ethel Anderson (Bill), Mildred Brown (Eugene), Georgia "Tootsie" (Gerald), Arlena Webb (Delmon) and Jack McCall (Martha); special nephews: Clyde Anderson and Billy Ray Anderson. He enjoyed fishing, going to shooting match, driving, attending church, gun trading, and politics. Surviving is his children: Arlena West (Charles), Don (Sharon), Jeff (Gail), Alisa Polly (Tony), Mike (Rhonda); grandchildren: Charlie West, Brianna Fleming (Dusty), Brooke Dotson (Aaron), Katie McCall, Kuade McCall, Sarah Watts (Matt), Jamie Herald (April), Hayley McCall, Chrystal Bentley (Jason), Corey McCall, and Jake McCall; 8 great grandchildren. Jimmy served in the Air Force from 1955 - 1957. He was a former Deputy Sheriff and Deputy Jailer. He was saved and Baptized on April 6, 2003 and has attended Millstone Missionary Baptist Church Since. Funeral: 11:00 O'clock A.M. Saturday, October 17, 2020 at the Millstone Missionary Baptist Church with Bill Craft officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Thursday and 6:00 P.M. Friday at the Millstone Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Thornton Cemetery at Thornton, Kentucky.
