John Dishman Combs Jr., 82 of Isom, passed away Monday, September 22, 2025 at his residence. John was the son of the late John and Dessie Sexton Combs. He was a member of the Letcher County Airport Board. Surviving is 1 son: Steven Combs of Junction City; 1 daughter: Janet Hall of Isom; 3 brothers: Edmond Combs, Ernest Combs and Troy Combs; 1 sister: Letta Mae Hammonds along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. John was preceded in death by 1 daughter: Clashia Black; 3 brothers: Luther, Earl and Denver; 2 sisters: Henrietta Caudill and Wanda Collins. Funeral: 12:00 O'clock Noon, Friday, September 26, 2025 at the Sandlick House of Prayer with Buddy Collins officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Thursday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Combs Cemetery at Isom, Kentucky.
