Johnnie B. Maggard passed away Saturday, January 9th, 2021 at his residence being 96 years old. He was surrounded by his family when he passed. He is preceded in death by his wife Anna Lee Maggard, one son Billy Maggard, one daughter Betty Maggard; two grandsons Kenneth Banks and Bennett Banks Jr. along with his parents James and Dinah Maggard. He is survived by 5 girls: Shirley Maggard of Neon, Joyce Cornett (Lester) of Eolia, Jewell McFall (Hank) of Cowan, Bonnie King (Sandy) of Eolia, Darlene Rose (companion Barry McConnelle) of North Carolina and 1 son Johnny Maggard Jr. (loving daughter-in-law Delona) of Eolia; 15 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; a special grandson: Keith Maggard his "side kick"; a special niece; Sara Mae Maggard; a special friend: James Thornsberry; 1 sister: Opal Mae Patterson of Castlewood, Virginia along with a host of friends and loved ones to mourn his passing. Funeral: 1:00 O'clock P.M. Monday, January 11, 2021 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Ted Collins officiating. Visitation: 5:00 P.M. Sunday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Maggard/Gibson Cemetery at Eolia, Kentucky.
