Johnny O'Neal Shepherd

Johnny O'Neal Shepherd, 58 of Gordon, passed away Monday, May 11, 2026, at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center. Johnny was the son of the late Jesse Harold and Mary Louise Ingram Shepherd. Surviving is his wife Marsha Fields Shepherd; 3 brothers: Jeff (Angie) Shepherd, James Shepherd, and Danny Fields all of Linefork;  sister: Paula Brown of Tennessee; sister in law: Debbie Day; special daughter: Jessie (Jamie) Newman; special grandchildren: Elijah Newman, John Daniel Newman, and Jackson Newman; special aunt and uncle: Vivian and Jim Shepherd; 4 special nephews: Andrew (Casper), Cody, Donnie Day and Kevin Day; special sister-in-law: Debbie Day; best friend: Glenn Cornett; special friends: Jackie "Crack" Holbrook; Donnie Day; Kevin Day; close friend: Junior Henderson along with a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 O'clock P.M. on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the Linefork House of Prayer with Patrick Shepherd, Glenn Cornett, and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Hurricane Gap Cemetery at Gordon, Kentucky. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. - 10:00 P.M. on Friday, May 15, 2026, at the Linefork House of Prayer.
