Kathy M. Sword, 69 of Cowan, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2023 at her residence. Kathy was the daughter of the late Clayton and Orpha Day. Surviving is her husband: Robert Sword; 1 son: Daniel (Laura) Sword of Whitesburg; 1 daughter: Angela (Billy) Jones of Pikeville; 2 sisters: Barbara (Johnny) Banks and Marcia (Eddie) Roberts all of Cowan; 3 grandchildren: Houston Sword, Madysen Sword and Blaine Jones; 1 great grandchildren: Remington Sword. Kathy was preceded in death by 1 sister: Sandra Day. Funeral: 12:00 O'clock Noon Sunday, November 5, 2023 at the Little Cowan Primitive Baptist Church with Johnny Banks officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Saturday at the Little Cowan Primitive Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Dinah Blair Cemetery at Cowan, Kentucky.
