Kathy (Richardson) Wright

Kathy Wright born July 12, 1948 in Haymond, Ky. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. Kathy was known for her warm heart, joyful spirit, and the kindness she showed to everyone she met. She always carried herself with grace and style and her positive outlook on life was a blessing to all who knew her. Kathy was a devoted wife to her husband, Ronald Wright for 59 years, and a loving mother to her children, Wendy Yoder (Paul), Stacy Wright (Kim). Her greatest joy in life was her family, and she treasured every moment spent with them. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Courtney, Alex (Charley), Kelson (Adriana), Grayson (Michelle), Macie (Hunter), Hayleigh, Sophie, Layla, Jacee, Kayden, Beckett and Paxton. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren Arlo, Alfie, August, Remie, Averie, Delilah, and Beauen, each of whom brought immense joy to her life.

Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Matthew “Red” Richardson, her mother, Wanda Ferrell, and stepfather, Sylvester Ferrell.

She is also survived by her sisters, Patti Figger (Richard), Nancy Jones (Larry) along with nieces and nephews, Matthew (Katrina), William, Patti (Robert), Sonja (Tom), Mari-Elizabeth (Tony) Marty (Michelle) and several great-nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

A faithful member of Hales Chapel Christian Church, Kathy deeply loved her church family and found comfort and joy in her faith in Jesus. Her life was a beautiful example of love, devotion, and grace, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished. 

Funeral: 1:00 O'clock P.M. Saturday, May 16, 2026 at the Neon First Church of God with Dave Hammond officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. Friday at the Neon First Church of God. Burial will follow in the Riley Bentley Cemetery at Deane, Kentucky.
