Kenneth Childers Obituary

Kenneth Childers, 80 of Cumberland, passed away Saturday, April 3, 2021 at his daughter's residence in Lexington, KY. Kenneth was the son of the late Bill and Willie Mae Childers. He was the widower of Sharon Miles Childers. Surviving are 3 daughters: Regina (Lloyd) Napier of Lexington, Lisa Childers Cress of Kingsport, TN, and Kendra (James) Cavins of London; 2 brothers: David Childers of Benham and Jimmy Stapleton of Kingsport, TN; sister: Doris Burns of Alexandra, VA; 6 grandchildren: Lauren, Ashley, Alanna, Cora, Lucas and Eli; 3 great grandchildren: Jackson, Harper, and Axel ; Kenneth was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Fred and Bill Childers; 3 sisters: Jessie Childers, Carol Garrett, and Lorene Webb; son-in-law: David Cress. Funeral: 12:00 PM Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Rod Raliegh officiating. Visitation: 6:00- 10:00 PM Monday and Tuesday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Miles Family Cemetery at Cowan, Kentucky.
