Obituary

Kermit Quillen, 84 of Deane, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2020 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Kermit was the son of the late Brack and Icey Kincer Quillen. He was the widower of Della Sanders Quillen. Surviving is 2 sons: Michael (Lora) Quillen of Whitesburg and Derek (Holly) Baker of Corbin; 2 daughters: Teresa Lynn Quillen of Virgie and Tammy (Todd) Taylor of Deane; 1 brother: D.H. Quillen of Jackhorn; 2 sisters: Jean King of Jackhorn and Kaye Davis of Irwin, Tennessee; 6 grandchildren: Kevin, Tia, Mika, Talena, Kelli, and Trevor; 5 great grandchildren: Emma, Allie, Karsen, Shayleigh, and Elijah. Kermit was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Kimmel Quillen, Herman Quillen, and Donnie Quillen; 1 sister: Lorraine Shepherd. Funeral: 1:00 O'clock P.M. Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at the Deane Baptist Church. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Monday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Kenneth B. Gooch Cemetery at Deane, Kentucky.
